Monika Kropej Telban, Štrekelj Award recipient

The Štrekelj Award, presented for lifetime achievement or exceptional achievements in the field of collecting and preserving Slovenian folk heritage in words and song, was awarded this year to Dr. Monika Kropej Telban. The award was presented to her by the mayor of the municipality of Komen, Erik Modic, at a ceremony held at Štanjel Castle on 15 June 2025. The award is a professional tribute to the researcher's in-depth study of the material and her contribution through all the fundamental works she has written.
