PŠVE 2023

The Summer School of Visual Ethnography is a form of extra-curricular education in modern methods of audiovisual filmmaking, analysis and editing of video works, primarily ethnographic films. It is aimed at students, museum professionals, tutors and researchers who would like to use a video camera in their work.

This year's workshop will be led by Mauro Bucci, an independent researcher and filmmaker working in the field of visual anthropology. He is particularly concerned with film’s potential for studying and understanding human experiences and cultural practices. He has authored scientific essays on ethnographic cinema for both Italian and international journals and books.
