Avenue of Nova Gorica's Prominent Citizens

The lecture will focus on the history and significance of the Avenue of Nova Gorica’s Prominent Citizens (in Slovene: Aleja zaslužnih žena in mož). With a memorial park on Erjavčeva cesta, the urban character of Nova Gorica has acquired a symbolic value, which is particularly important in the light of the planned changes to the locations of individual monuments and them being endangered.
